An early morning walk along a dirt road in Sunapee produced some interesting
behaviors from the local birds. Within a short distance I photographed
various species -- Bobolink, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Killdeer, Ovenbird,
Veery, and Yellow Warbler -- but the stars this morning were Cedar Waxwings.
They were gathering tent caterpillar webs and engaging in pre-nuptial
feeding.
