I drove along Rt. 10, Rt. 5 and the River Roads from Hanover to Piermont
and saw some good birds. Highlights included the Merlin at the edge of the
Golf Course just south of the traffic circle by the Co-Op, perched nicely,
a flock of 90 or so Snow Buntings at the Lyme Fresh Farm(?) on River Rd.
and 22 Brown-headed Cowbirds around feeders right on the Lyme/Orford
border. I had cowbirds here last week, but the numbers have grown. By the
way, I managed some pretty good phone-scoped shots, downloaded them to my
Flickr account, but am having trouble sharing them. If anyone has any
advice I'd appreciate it. I can't attach photos to my eBird observations
either, can't find the HTML codes for the photos.
