So I was on our porch this afternoon and I subconsciously heard a song. Hmm.
Interesting. Then I heard it again and ran for my binocs.

There is a hay field across the road (where the woodcock displays) and a
swale with an older apple orchard.

The song was a rising trill, rather high in pitch. A "ceet-ceet-ceet-ceet"
kind of thing. Ohhh. Maybe hear this once every year.

Have heard this from this spot before, and at the prison property. Old
field.

Prairie Warbler. Even get a brief good look. Trophy bird.
