A kestrel was observed sitting on utility wires paralleling N. Thetford Rd. Kestrels have been regular residents in this area in season over the last four-to-five years. Same is true over on E. Thetford Rd. A Conservation Commission colleague says a pair of kestrels has been nesting in a hollow tree near Grant Brook in season over the last four-to-five years. Both sites have large expanses of open fields.
Also, a FOY killdeer was observed in a live stock pen at Recordridge Farm on E. Thetford Rd.
