On Saturday August 15, 2015, from 6:30 to 9 AM, a bird walk arranged by the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon and led by Sara Eisenhauer, Ed Hack, and George Clark is to be held in Norwich along the Connecticut River from Ledyard Bridge northward to the Ompompanoosuc River and vicinity. We’ll be looking especially for migrating birds. This bird walk is free and open to the public. Bring binoculars and spotting scopes if available. We might walk as much as a mile over fairly level but uneven and possibly damp terrain. In case of thundershowers or steady, heavy rain, this walk will be canceled.

Participants are to meet at 6:30 AM in the commuter parking lot in Norwich, VT, at the western end of Ledyard Bridge. To reach that parking lot from Hanover, NH, go west across Ledyard Bridge, and then immediately turn right onto River Road in Norwich. Then take the immediate first left into the parking lot. After looking for birds around Ledyard Bridge, we're to carpool northward with stops at locations favorable for finding birds.
