Was travelling today on Beaver Meadow Rd. in Norwich near town and had to
swerve to miss a low-flying Mallard drake. Later ,in Lebanon between
Listen and the School Crossing, I was walking on the sidewalk and
encountered a Mallard Drake and Hen casually headed towards crossing the
street. I waved frantically at the nearest oncoming car, then successfully
also waved and shouted at a car coming in the other direction to stop. The
Mallard pair casually waddled across the street while traffic piled up. Saw
a lot of smiles! Hope they made it back across- there is no water I know
of on the other side. What a Ducky Day.
