Last week we had quite a flock of them eating our multiflora rose bush berries (a rose bush we’ve been trying to kill for a number of years, unsuccessfully) at the west end of Tucker Hill Road in Thetford. They were perching on nearby trees and competing with other flocks. Perhaps a dozen.

Here’s one fellow. They weren’t shy.

They were here three out of four days. A series of robins & cedar waxwings would alternate in, and they ate up all the berries, so I haven’t seen them since Thursday.
