Very appropriately on this beautiful, snowy morning, first appearance of
the American Tree Sparrow in my yard.

A non-avian winter observation two days ago - a weasel in my barn (no
worries, I have no chickens), in transition from its brown coat to its
white winter coat.  I have never seen a brown and white weasel before.
This bold, curious creature gave me several photo ops - but I did not have
a camera with me.  Drat!
