A half hour at Foley Park in Norwich this afternoon produced a surprising diversity of waterfowl. A female Bufflehead and Wood Duck were present originally, then joined from the north by a large flock of Mallards at about 3:15. Amongst the Mallards was 1 drake Northern Pintail and at least 7 Black Ducks. Details in the ebird report below.

Wood Duck 1 *late. A female looking confused in the middle of the channel north of the bridge. White eye spot, long body and plumes off head. Characteristic bobbing of neck

Mallard 140 ~10 on the water, and 125+ that came in from the north and landed at about 3:15. Difficult to count with fog and fading light, but if anything under counted
Northern Pintail 1 Came in with ~125 mallards and 7 blacks around 3:15pm. Not a complete tail

Hooded Merganser 6
Rock Pigeon (Feral Pigeon) 4
American Crow 5
American Tree Sparrow 2
