Yesterday I posted a bunch of confusing stuff about what I thought was a
Connecticut Warbler at the Zebedee Wetland in Thetford. I went back today
to record the bird and also finally saw it singing. Part of the song does
indeed match a Connecticut Warbler song very closely, but the second part,
a downward slur does not. It is a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. I have not heard a
recording of a Ruby-crowned Kinglet quite like this one- I can only assume
there are many variations. I finally managed to get both a photo and
recording on my web site.

Quite the learning experience!
