Took a quick hike up Lafayette on Saturday instead of finishing up
pre-winter chores.
Went up Skookumchuck Trail, which passes through a grassy alpine meadow
reminiscent of the summit of Moosilauke.
Came across about a dozen snow buntings on the northern slope of Lafayette
on the way back down after enjoying a mountain top lunch break in light
winds and moderate temperatures (for November!) .
