Neighbors in downtown Lebanon have been remarking on a 'new bird' making an
extended call in the neighborhood south of Bank Street (AVA Gallery). I'm
told by Peter Stettenheim it is likely a Yellow Flicker. It's curious that
several people -- not bird experts by any means -- heard this new call
within a few weeks and began sharing reports of it with one another. We're
all becoming attuned to avian activity which is a good sign.
Regards,
Shawn
