Ed Hack and I looked for birds for a short time this afternoon in  
northeastern Norwich. In a wet area along Route 5 just south of  
Butternut Lane, Ed spotted an Eastern Phoebe, the first of the year  
for both of us.

Killdeer numbers are increasing. This afternoon we saw 3 at Campbell  
Flats and 3 others in the field across from Pompy flats along Route 132.
