Hey everyone,
This afternoon/evening I checked out a few spots around Kendall to see what migrants I might be able to find. I first checked Pompy Flats, but the area was relatively quiet except for a couple Yellow Warblers; there was a lone Solitary Sandpiper far out on the flats. Then I checked Kendall Station Rd: highlights were 2 or 3 nice male Baltimore Orioles, and a couple very vocal Broad-winged Hawks perched in the trees; they reminded me a little of Roadside Hawks, lol...
I then went over to Campbell Flats, where there was a fair amount of activity. I walked the perimeter around the big field and a little on the road in both directions leading away from the field. Highlights included: Warbling Vireo and a pretty good diversity of sparrows- many Savannah, Lincoln's, a gorgeous adult Swamp, and a couple White-crowned.
