Finally spotted a couple of Evening Grosbeaks @ our feeders this morning, after multiple years absence on Storrs Hill in Lebanon.
As Dave Merker reported from Etna, our regular pair of Red Breasted Nuthatches are also among the missing. Plenty of Blue Jays (7) this year though, that will keep many pounds of black oil sunflower seeds cached throughout the Upper Valley.
Enjoyed watching a large flock (30) of Cedar Waxwings feeding on sumac berries @ the 2mile marker on the N. Rail Trail yesterday during the snowfall. At first glance I thought they were Bohemians, but the inclement weather caused them to be all fluffed up.
