Perhaps Iyanaga may be able to answer with more confidence, but just for
whatever my comments are worth, this is what I do.

I send my OS9 file from my old iMac (OS 9) as an email attachment, and I
open the mail with my iMac OS X, and drop the file on to the droplet. Then
NWPro automatically opens the file, everything converted OK except footnotes
containing things originally keyed-in in the Reverse mode, a problem I
mentioned in my latest mail to the list.

In the meantime I have experimented, before starting learning the macro
technique, and found an interim solution. I convert those troublesome
footnotes to non-footnote texts, then convert the file by using the droplet,
and convert those original footnote texts back into real footnotes. The
result is quite satisfactory. I take it that under NWPro there is no
function available comparable to Reverse. So short of learning the Macro
technique you are left with no choice but to retype the whole bloody things
in footnotes. When what is to be retyped are long sentences or whole
paragraphs, my interim solution is neater, I think.

Thank you both.
Question: Do I run this in OS9 or OSX? My NW OS9 files appear like simple
TXT files on OSX. Will all the data carry over properly?
