Unix systems depend upon being awake at 0300 to run janitorial services, so
if your computer sleeps at night, it can accumulate caches and logs the size
of the NY Times Sunday edition.

PseudoAnacron http://www.freemacware.com/pseudoanacron runs the Unix daily,
weekly, and monthly cleanups for me, checking every time I wake it up to see
if the system needs maintenance.

(Not to be confused with PseudoAnacreon, which seems to be a number of
totally unrelated things.)
