Hi all,

after 9 years of absence from this list I am happy to read some familiar names so I know my questions will not remain unanswered.

I am using one piece of software called Ragtime mostly on PC nowadays. A decade ago we did a lot of scripted document generation with Ragtime on the Mac based on statistics data. I would like to give it a new start but found script recording broken on the current MacOS. This is bad as Ragtime produced very readable AS source that was easy to adapt and maintain.

I readily admit I liked very much what could be done with AS but never became really familiar with the ever changing AS systax. So getting AS code by recording was a huge win and made projects easily possible that I never would have touched if I had to start from scratch.

So is there a way to record Applications to get AS source I am not aware of?

Regards
Franz
