SANS Inc. Announces New Version of Language Lab Software with Enhancements for Wireless Networking

North Branford, Connecticut – September 2014 - SANS Inc., the developer and exclusive licensor of Sony language learning software solutions, has just released Version 14.3 of the Sony Virtuoso™ and Sony Soloist® digital language lab software. Technical advancements in the transmission of audio data make the software more robust in language classrooms using wireless networking.
Enhancements that include error detection and correction as well as QoS (Quality of Service) settings for the SANSTalk™ Audio Router Software ensure that audio transmitted during language classes is optimized for a positive user experience in both wired and wireless settings.

According to Ron Remschel, SANS President, “SANS continues to move the Sony Virtuoso and Soloist software forward utilizing the most current tools in an ever changing technological landscape. We continually review and update our software deliverability as well as emerging functionality that language educators and their students need for 21st century learning.”

Additional instructional features have been developed including new “A-B Repeat Recording” and “Listen-Speak Recording” modes providing additional tools for language teachers to give students more speaking practice activities. For teachers using the Sony Virtuoso and Soloist suite, SANS has embedded interactive professional development training videos within the software so that teachers can “learn as they go” when using the SANS technology.

SANS is a leading instructional technology provider for language learning programs – FL, ESL, and ASL. Technologies include the Sony Virtuoso™ and Soloist® digital language lab software suite and SANSSpace™ virtual language learning platform.
