Hmm...that's odd. I just ordered Women on the Verge from Amazon.com yesterday afternoon, and their email confirmation claimed that I would have it in a few days.

As for Like Water for Chocolate, sure enough...Amazon says that "the studio is currently not producing this video edition." It appears to be available on DVD beginning Aug. 10th, though. The unsubtitled (Spanish only) edition is available as well.

I was surprised to learn from Facets that < Like Water for
Chocolate> is out of print and <Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown>
is "on moratorium" for an undetermined but probably lengthy time from the
catalog. (Both Spanish w/ Eng subs). Because these are both very popular
films, my guess is that there's some kind of licensing squabble
somewhere.
Does anyone know anything about the availability of these?
