Penn is currently looking for a full-time A/V and tech support person to support its online learning platform -- please direct interest to the following posting: jobs.hr.upenn.edu/applicants/Central?quickFind=195145
* Provide technical assistance for the Online Learning Team in
support of faculty, students and staff in the day to day execution
of the community and course functions. Evening hours /alternative
schedule required
* Liaison with part-time or temp personnel to provide technical
assistance for all courses and live events as well as
community/OER support
* Assist the Online Learning Team with development and production of
podcasts, video or other multimedia resources that support digital
engagement
* Manage and update blogs, discussions or upload content as required
for courses and communities
* Communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students to
prepare, train and ensure success in online learning including
documentation and orientation sessions
* Evaluate new applications, platform updates and add-on components
to foster adoption of new techniques or technologies for online
teaching, learning and engagement.
* Install, use and maintain multimedia applications or equipment in
order to assist faculty and staff with their effective use and
integration into courses.
* Troubleshoot malfunctioning platform components or multimedia
software and equipment and involve appropriate support staff as
needed.
* Work with faculty, staff, students, and administration to evaluate
the online learning/teaching experience for faculty and students
* Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the fields of
instructional technology and new media for digital engagement
