Massive Open Online Courses in the Arts and Humanities: Opportunities, Implications and Challenges Across UK Higher Education

The symposium on "Massive Open Online Courses in the Arts and Humanities" will take place on 25th April 2014 (10:00-17:00) at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. A call for papers is currently open and participants are requested to send abstracts of no more than 300 words to the organiser, Dr Michael Thomas ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) on a topic related to the following areas:

  *   The historical context of online learning
  *   Scalability and quality assurance
  *   Pedagogy
  *   Accreditation
  *   Future implications of MOOCs in the Arts and Humanities

The closing date for abstract submissions is 15th January 2013.
