Question:

Does “online learning” mean courses offered entirely online?

We are course sharing (students attend remotely but synchronously). Does that meet your definition?

Subject: Need your input! Leadership and Change in Online Language Education

Hello!

Are you responsible for establishing online *language* education for your department, or program or area? If so, we need your input!

As the only comprehensive national survey of basic online language education (OLE) at the post-secondary level, the BOLDD Survey, compiled by Kathryn Murphy-Judy, describes the current status of post-secondary OLE in the US, traces emerging national trends in OLE design and delivery, and identifies areas in OLE that need attention.

A second survey on leadership and change is intended to add important allied information about the efforts of those involved in establishing OLE. This second survey is intended for anyone leading the establishment of online language education in their department or program or area. We will discuss at the upcoming IALLT 2017 conference<http://iallt.org/iallt-2017/> data from 3 years of BOLDD surveys (2013-2016) in relation to this new survey on leadership and change to understand what needs attention in OLE and who is equipped to drive such change.

Would you please help inform the field by completing this survey?

The survey is expected to take about 20 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by May 26th, 2017!

Questions about the survey could be directed to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> .

Thank you!
