Description: Edmodo is a free social media classroom system. The researcher will demonstrate not only how classrooms can be managed and communication can be encouraged, but also how communication across borders can occur in this safe, moderated environment. The researcher’s study involved international interaction between Japanese High School students with same-age students in Singapore, Canada, and the United States. The students were able to communicate, share ideas, and “meet” before their in-person exchange activities.
