the Foreign Language Resource Center, Rochester Institute of
Technology. The following information is extracted from the official

- Title: Technology Support Services (TSS) Coordinator
- Role: Operations/Systems Administrator
- Brief Description: The Technology Support Services (TSS)
Coordinator works for the Foreign Language Technology Center to
provide day-to-day computer and audiovisual equipment support to
foreign language faculty, staff, and students. This position
provides an excellent opportunity to apply and further develop
expertise in system, server, and database administration, computer
support, language lab operations, website management, and audio and
video editing. The position also involves daily interaction with
faculty, staff, and students.
Major responsibilities of this position are to ensure that equipment
(computer network, computer systems, server, printers, and
audiovisual equipment) is well maintained and functional at all
times; ensure that Foreign Language Technology Center is open and
staffed; assist faculty and students in the use of technology;
quickly troubleshoot audio, video and computer equipment problems;
provide technology support in language-related projects (e.g.,
programming, research, etc.); use effective communication strategies
to interact with individuals from different cultural and linguistic
backgrounds; perform other related duties as assigned.
