We have just installed a ReLANsign Pro language lab, which is a version
of the ReLAN Pro language lab with web cameras and special video
software modules to add sign language to the capabilities of the lab.
The camera functions simply add a few icons to the player/recorder
interface, allowing the students to record their own stand-alone video,
or, by clicking a checkbox next to the RECORD button, a video
synchronized with a "master" video displayed in a separate video window.
Video chat is also available, with another student or with the
instructor.  

Though we haven't used it to teach ASL yet, you should certainly have
your ASL people look at it (I know ASC-Direct and George Washington will
be at CALICO in May).

Hi,
do we have any American Sign Language people on this list who can help.

The communications department is looking for a 20 place computer 
based lab set up to teach  ASL.
They have seen the Sanoko 300 from Tandberg and heard about the Sony 
ASL set up.

Seems the real problem maybe the video part.

Any reactions, suggestions - on this list or in private are greatly 
appreciated.
