At Richland College in Dallas, TX, we use in our language lab:
Mango
Pronunciator (my favorite)
Yabla

No problems with any of them. We get Pronunciator for free from our college library, which in turn gets it free from the Texas State Library.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Subject: Language learning software for lab use

Greetings, Everyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed the IALLT conference in Moorhead, MN and was very impressed with the deep knowledge displayed by the attendees and presenters as well as their willingness to share and offer advice. I hope you can help me with this inquiry.

As part of reviewing our offerings in the lab, I am wondering if we should be offering any kind of language learning or language practice software.

I would like to know if anyone can recommend any language learning software that would work well in a lab setting.

We currently offer courses in ASL, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian, and Spanish.

Also, if you have any good or bad experiences in relation to offering this kind of software, I'd love to hear them.

Regards,

Jacob
