Let’s Get CLACking: Meeting the Challenge to Support Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum

Presenters: Cynthia Evans, Skidmore College; Dan Soneson, University of Minnesota

Date: Monday, June 22, 2015

Time: 12 pm EDT / 9 am PDT / 4 pm GMT-UTC

The Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum movement (aka FLAC, LAC, CLAC, LxC) continues to gain momentum as language learning responds to the call to prepare students as global citizens. Drawing upon their experience with the CLAC Consortium and LAC programs at their institutions, the presenters will give an overview of CLAC models and discuss roles and challenges for language centers and educators in shaping programs to promote language learning across the disciplines.
