The U Penn announcement was a handy reminder to mention here that the
University of Wisconsin also offers a broad array of online, open-enrollment
language courses, in Spanish, French, German, Latin, Greek, and Italian.
These are instructor-led, one-on-one courses in which students can start at
any time, proceed at their own pace, and have one year to complete the
course.
