There is a technical issue. Producing full-motion video is a demanding task
for the computer video and cpu processors and memory. That may be why you
can sometimes get it to work on either monitor or output, but not both.
Lowering the screen resolution may also help (less pixels to process). My
toshiba laptops will do either, but not both (on the correct 800x600 256
color resolution). Tapping alt+[monitor] multiple times will cycle through
the options. You should either get video out on one or more than one,
depending.
