Dear Jacob,

Our LRC has transitioned from installing software locally to managing
licenses for various web services, and helping students and faculty as they
need it. We are very happy with our VoiceThread site license-- this isn't
so much language learning software so much as a versatile platform for
sequencing media-rich activities. You should also explore Yabla (though no
Russian, Arabic, or ASL as of yet) as the interface is great for working on
listening comprehension skills. For evaluating student speech, you can also
check out my pet project, iSpraak for Google Chrome, which now supports 22
languages.

Cheers,

Dan Nickolai, Ph.D.
