We have a Digital Humanities project funded by Mellon that is just gearing up here at Carleton in collaboration with St Olaf and Macalester Colleges. I am perripherally involved, but you may want to point your faculty member to our website to learn about some of the projects that are underway here. You'll want to work with your meta-data librarians on the data management, they will be able to help you out a lot!
