Subject: #10451.1 (!) Surveying Language Cebter Users

Edie,

One option is to set the URL of the survey to be a start-up item so that it’ll open when machines are restarted or someone logs out and another logs in.

1) Drag the survey URL by dragging it to the desktop, creating an icon.

2) Go to System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items > Drag the icon into the startup items window

Of course, that only works on startup/login. Maybe a simpler solution is to make a catchy graphic for that URL icon, labelling it something like, “Click here to improve your education!” Students are bound to click on it.

Let us know what they think. In preparation for a move to a new facility, we’re about to do one of patrons (mostly modeled on the one in the recently released IALLT Language Center Evaluation Toolkit<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YWjcMEklJxMWPw9QrywC5me1kW7k2YpauoQNyiaSmdo/edit?usp=sharing>.

Best,

Jeff
