ANNOUNCING A SPECIAL ISSUE OF THE L2 JOURNAL

The General Editor, Claire Kramsch of UC Berkeley, and Special Editor, David Hanauer, of Indiana University of Pennsylvania are very pleased to announce the publication of a Special Issue of the L2 Journal titled: “L2 Writing and Personal History: Meaningful Literacy in the Language Classroom”.

 The L2 Journal is a peer-reviewed online journal: www.escholarship.org/uc/uccllt_l2<http://www.escholarship.org/uc/uccllt_l2>

DESCRIPTION OF THE SPECIAL ISSUE

David Hanauer: “This Special Issue contributes to the broadening discussion of what it means to have the diversity of language learners involved in meaningful literacy activities. The papers in this collection focus on different types of autobiographical literary writing conducted by second language learners in various settings including ESL, EFL and Heritage language learning. Together the papers offer a range of methodological and pedagogical innovations and contribute to an understanding of the ways in which the language classroom can become a place to engage in significant human interaction.”
