In addition to Otmar's advice, you might find out what font she was using.
If she's using a Mac, there was a very old Mac font bouncing around the
early 90's called Cyrillic II, I think, that someone created on their own
(it wasn't part of Apple). If it's that, it might take a couple of
conversions to get it into a more current format (converting it on an old
OS to a Mac Cyrillic font and then converting that new text into a more
current version with current fonts. It's been awhile since I worked with
converting Cyrillic II, but if you need help, please let me know.
