Dear David,

You'll need to log on to your server as "root"  to access the
"httpd.conf" file with the TextEdit  to change the section entitled,
"Aliases" (a little less than half-way through the document).

The commented-out portion of that section explains "trailing" slashes
and their effect on alias resolution.
