If you need to type pinyin with tone marks and need it to stay as pinyin
e.g. so it can be used as text or put into Word Art for posters you can
download a free virtual keyboard with all 24 tones, punctuation and currency
characters, from our web site.  Using the virtual and actual keyboard
together text is entered into a text box and it can then be copied and
pasted into any application and fonts selected.  The only proviso is that
you select a Chinese or Unicode font when changing fonts.  Incidentally it
can have any Unicode keyboard.
