*Publications*

*A new issue of the IALLT Journal is on line*!  This new issue (46/2)
contains discussions of the impact of online translation use, smartphones
in the world language classroom, and copyright law.  You can read this
issue at http://ialltjournal.org/index.php/ialltjournal/index.

*The Language Center Evaluation Toolkit is now available.  *Created by the
2013-2015 IALLT Assessment Committee chaired by Edwige Simon, the LCET
provides a customizable set of tools to assist language centers evaluate
their activities.  It is available at no cost as a shared folder which
contains a PDF of the complete LCET and editable versions of the surveys
and descriptor list.  Find out more at

*Participate in the IALLT Survey 2017*
Do you work in a language center or lab in ANY role?  If so, you are
encouraged to complete the IALLT Survey 2017.  You do not need to be an
IALLT member to participate.  The IALLT survey is used to obtain accurate
information about the state of language technology and language
centers/labs.  This information can then by used by those who make
decisions that affect policies, positions, and programs.  For more

*Present at LET 2017*
The Japan Association for Language Education and Technology and IALLT have
a long history of cooperation and affiliation.  The organizers of LET 2017,
which will be held from August 5 - 7 at Nagoya Gakuin University in Nagoya,
Japan, has invited members of IALLT to propose twenty-minute oral
presentations for this conference.  Up to ten presentations from IALLT will
be accepted.  If you are interested in presenting at this conference,
please send the following information to IALLT's secretary, Gus Leonard (
[log in to unmask]) by *February 21*:  name of presenter(s),
affiliation(s), e-mail address(es), title, an abstract in English of 200 -
250 words, and 3 - 5 keywords.  For more information, see

*February and March Webinars*

The IALLT webinars continue.  Participation is open to all, so share this
information with your colleagues.  On Thursday, February 16, Lauren Rosen
presents "Gain Time and Differentiate with a Flipped Learning Approach."
On Tuesday, March 7, Laura Little discusses "Borderless Classrooms?:
Virtual Exchanges for Language and Culture Courses."  Please note the date
change for the March webinar.  More information and a link for registration
