Come have lunch with the Montgomery Fellow

The week of April 23 also brings award-winning memoirist, novelist, and
literary scholar André Aciman to Hanover. Aciman received the 1995
Whiting Award for his memoir Out of Egypt, which chronicled his
childhood growing up Jewish in postcolonial Alexandria. More recently,
his novel Call Me By Your Name won the 2007 Lambda Literary Award for
gay fiction. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York
Review of Books, and The Paris Review, among other publications. An
expert on Marcel Proust, he is a distinguished professor at the Graduate
Center of City University of New York.
