International Graduate Mentorship Program call for mentors
The International Graduate Mentorship Program (IGMP) is calling for
mentors. This is a great way to get to know new people in the graduate
student community. Anyone can be a mentor - you do not have to be an
international student to be involved.

IGMP mentors help incoming international graduate students transition to
life in the U.S. and Dartmouth. You will meet people from all over the
world!

What you will do as a mentor:
• Contact mentees (you will be assigned 2 mentees only) prior to their
arrival and answer questions they might have
• Pick up mentees when they arrive with the Dartmouth coach
• Help mentees settle down in the upper valley

Other activities:
• Participate in orientation events with the IGMP
• Bar nights
• Hiking / other outdoor activities
• Other events run for the graduate student community

If you would like to be a mentor, please fill out this survey:
dartgo.org/igmpmentor

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Best wishes,
Sally Demirdjian and Muhammad Abubakar Khan

share your ideas!

In order to cultivate a community focused on teaching and learning
amongst graduate students and postdocs, DCAL has established a Learning
Community for Future Faculty (LCFF). The focus of this group is to share
the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit
deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching. The LCFF meets
monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month.
