* CCST Science Fellows program *

Hi all,

This is Jeffery Song (EPP/CEE '17). I'm currently a fellow working in
the California State Senate Committee on Transportation & Housing
through the CCST Science Fellows program described below. This program
is an amazing opportunity for PhD scientists and engineers who are
interested in spending one year getting hands-on legislative experience.

If you are interested in applying and have any questions (or would like
any advice) about the fellowship or the application, please feel feel
free to contact me directly. You can e-mail me at [log in to unmask]

The California Council on Science and Technology is now accepting
applications for the 2019 Class of our CCST Science & Technology Policy
Fellowship. Completed applications are due by February 28th, 2018.

As CCST Science Fellows, scientists and engineers spend one year in
Sacramento serving the California State Legislature. Working as
legislative staff in the State Assembly or State Senate, they get a
front-row seat learning about the craft and process of lawmaking in the
State of California — a dynamic arena that often sets policy trends for
the United States and the world.

The CCST Science Fellows program is open to those holding (or will be
finishing by September 2018) a PhD or equivalent degree in science and
engineering, and in social science fields such as economics. Eligibility
information, program timeline, and the application link can be found at
fellows.ccst.us/apply.php.
