Outstanding Graduate Student Community Service Award 2018
http://graduate.dartmouth.edu/admissions-financial-aid/funding/grants-awards/graduate-community-award

The Graduate Community Award will be awarded annually to the graduate
student(s) who best exemplify a deep commitment to serving the Dartmouth
community. Successful recipients may have contributed in diverse ways
such as participating in student governance, serving on campus-wide
committees and in the development and promotion of programs that enhance
the academic and social options of the entire community. The individual
should combine personal qualities of dedication to inclusiveness,
integrity and enthusiasm with effective service on behalf of the
Dartmouth community.

Students currently enrolled in good standing in Dartmouth Master’s and
Doctoral programs are eligible for the award.
Nomination Process

The recipient(s) will be selected by the Graduate Studies Office.
Departments, individual faculty members or administrators, and graduate
students are eligible to make a nomination in the form of a letter of
nomination. All nomination letters must be submitted to the Graduate
Studies Office (to the attention of Kerry Landers) no later than March
28.

Each nominee will then be asked directly by the Graduate Office to
submit a curriculum vitae and a brief summary of their community service
activities.

The recipient(s) of the award will receive a cash prize of $1,000.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kerry Landers in
the Graduate Studies Office, 37 Dewey Field Road, Suite 6062, Room 437.

Grad Faculty Mentoring Award Nom Due March 16
GRAD Faculty Mentoring Awards

The Graduate Student Council and the Office of Graduate Studies have
joined to create the Graduate Faculty Mentoring Award. The award is
designed to recognize and highlight the outstanding mentoring activities
that are undertaken by faculty advisors at Dartmouth. The Faculty
Mentoring Award will be awarded annually to a member of the Dartmouth
faculty who exemplifies a deep commitment to fostering the professional
and personal development of graduate students. Successful recipients may
have contributed to graduate student development by advising graduate
level research and promoting successful transition from the graduate
studies to post-doctoral work, faculty positions, or other employment.

Three members of the Graduate Student Council will select the recipient
with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Student Affairs and Graduate Dean
serving as ex officio members. Graduate students and recent graduate
alumni (no more than three years out) may make nominations in the form
of a letter of nomination. Letters from multiple sources (i.e. multiple
students and alumni) are strongly encouraged. However, each graduate
student or alumni may only nominate one person for the award. Faculty in
the Dartmouth Arts & Sciences Master's and Doctoral programs are
eligible for the award. Nomination letters must sent to [log in to unmask]
by Friday, March 16. Each nominee will then be asked directly by the
Graduate Office to submit a curriculum vita.

The recipient of the award will receive $500 to be used for further
mentoring activities.
