Speaker: Dr. Timothy Lukovits, MD, DHMC Staff Physician, Neurology, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth

Learning Objectives
1.      Recognizing the challenges in rural transfers; develop and disseminate a streamlined process for providers (MD, RN, EMS, etc.) to improve communication skills related to bedside and transfer management of emergently ill or injured patients.
2.      Discuss a variety of adult and pediatric treatment protocols, including skills and medications for STEMI, stroke, blunt trauma, intubation, intravenous lines, etc., for use in acute care.
3.      Describe the importance of emergency medicine “golden hour” treatment protocols through interactive didactic and case-based discussions.


The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
