Hi all,

First off, sorry for the delay getting this email out, and apologies that it's a long one.

Second of all, we're super excited to have so many people interested in skiing, and racing with us this winter! Please fill out this survey<https://goo.gl/forms/xMGcz3OaLg0OoFeF3> if you're interested in racing with us this winter ASAP, so we can get started on registration before the fees rise further.

A bit more info about racing with DNC:

We race in the ECSC (Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference). The ECSC includes everything from extremely strong club teams from other D1 skiing schools (UVM), club teams that are essentially varsity teams (from schools without an NCAA team, like Clarkson), to teams that have barely seen the snow before (hi West Point). This means that there is truly something for everyone. If you want competition against phenomenally talented skiers, you'll find that in the ECSC; if you want to try out racing for the first time, you will by no means be the only one. Race weekends typically have a skate race on Saturday and a classic race on Sunday, ranging from 5-10k, though we frequently attend only one of the two days to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. That said, if you're interested in racing both days, we'd love to do that too! Basically, we're flexible, the ECSC is flexible, and racing this winter is going to be a great time.

This winter's race schedule in the ECSC is:

Jan 19/20 - Clarkson Invite
Mt Van Hoevenberg, NY

Jan 26/27 - UVM Invite
Sleepy Hollow, VT

Feb 2/3 - OFF

Feb 9/10 - Castleton Invite
Mountain Top Inn, VT

Feb 16/17 - Divisional Championships
Gore Mountain Ski Bowl, NY

Feb 23/24 - Regional Championships
Ethan Allen Biathlon, Jericho, VT

If you'd like more info about the ECSC, check out their website: https://sites.google.com/site/ecscnordic/home

We also had a lot of people ask about racing NENSA's Easter Cup circuit this winter, so if you're interested in that be sure to indicate your interest in the survey. However, please note that because of logistical and financial restraints, we will almost certainly only be competing in either the ECSC or the Eastern Cup as a club this winter. For those who don't know, EC races are the carnival races that the varsity team competes at; it's obviously a very cool opportunity to race against such talented skiers.

Finally, the club will pay for all registration and race fees for this winter and Oak Hill rental skis can be used for races, so hopefully there are no financial barriers to racing with us.

Please fill out the survey<https://goo.gl/forms/xMGcz3OaLg0OoFeF3>, and let us know if you'd like any more info, or have any questions/comments/concerns!
