Hey DOC,


Are you interested in doing cool stuff outdoors and come out with a few certs?  Want to do things like ice climbing, ski touring, and mountaineering? I thought so!  Ridge Academy is holding an info session tomorrow evening (11/16) in Collis 218.  There will be delicious Ramunto's pizza and opportunities to ask as many questions as you'd like.


Here's some info about Ridge:


RIDGE Mountain Academy is designed for male and female student athletes who have a passion for the mountains. Located in Whitefish, Montana, RIDGE is a campus based academy that focuses on mountain sports, education, and life skills. RIDGE prepares student athletes of all abilities -beginner to elite- to strengthen their training, forge new skills, and discover their true potential.  Being located in the Northern Rockies provides us with the landscape to train at the highest levels.  Whether your into ice climbing, alpine touring, or skiing Rocky Mountain powder RIDGE provides you with the tools and guidance needed to complete your goals!  As we move through the semester each student athlete's program is individualized to cater to both their skill level and desired area of focus, while still maintaining the all important group dynamic, which is essential when navigating the backcountry.  Student Athletes will receive both Wilderness First Aid and AIARE AVY 1 certifications, allowing students to operate safely in the backcountry beyond the confines of RIDGE Mountain Academy.  We look forward to seeing you in Montana this winter!!
