Dear DOC,

This is a great funding opportunity:  The Northern Studies Internship Endowment could provide you with up to $3500 in leave-term funding “to support a hands-on, experiential learning opportunity for students with interests in a wide spectrum of northern forests and lands issues including:  wildlife conservation and management, forestry, recreation, water resources, and other environmental and economic concerns.”  Proposed projects could be as practical as updating the Dartmouth Outing Guide or as academic as field research for a senior thesis.

The deadline for applications for winter or spring term funding is Wed. Oct. 19.   General information about the internships as well as an application form are attached.   If you have any questions, or want to test out an idea, please stop by to chat.
