Dear DOC,

As you may have heard, we will be involving students and alumni in a timber-framing workshop for the new '66 Bunkhouse at Moosilauke right after the conclusion of DOC Trips in September.  Wood for the project will be harvested from the Organic Farm/Fullington Farm woods this summer, using a horse logger.  If you would like to learn how this kind of timber harvesting operation is planned and laid out, we have room for several students to accompany the logger, the timber-framer and others involved in the process on a site visit at 3:30 pm, Tuesday July 14.   There will be subsequent opportunities to watch the horse-logging operation in process.
