Howdy Rory!

Since the position requires driving a van over state lines, unfortunately
we need people to be over 21 and have a driver's license.

The position is Youth Mountain Adventure Instructor
<https://workforcenow.adp.com/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=7f5e3e73-653e-43e5-92f9-d8cdc593518a&sid=YW1jYWRw&ccId=1125625467_1842&type=MP&lang=en_US>,
and it is a part of the Youth Opportunities Program of the AMC. This person
would work June-September and be based out of our office in Boston. Their
primary role is to organize and plan 7 4-day youth trips to Cardigan where
they will camp, backpack, and canoe. Our program serves urban and lower
income communities, so we work primarily with school groups and youth
programs (Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, etc.) in the Boston area. Many of
the participants are fairly new to hiking, canoeing, and camping. For those
7 weeks, they will be living with the groups at Cardigan from
Tuesday-Friday (one night in a lodge, one night in a cabin, and one night
in a tent per week). They have weekends off and when they are not in the
field they have weekends and evenings off. We offer several free training
opportunities for staff throughout the summer. This would be a great
position for someone with some trip leading experience who wants to gain
experience leading overnight trips and build their resume in the outdoor
education and recreation field.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis until February 16th. I
am happy to answer questions for anyone who is interested in learning more.
