You will learn the basics of skinning and backcountry skiing and will get to hike and ski throughout NH and VT. The dates for the course are still being finalized but trips will be day trips on multiple Saturdays or Sundays throughout the term. The course is open to advanced skiers only but no previous backcountry skiing experience is necessary. You will need your own helmet, boots, and winter clothing but we can provide skis, poles, and skins. The course will cost around $200 but financial aid will be available. This course will be a great way to get involved in the WSC for the future years so priority will be given to 20s and 21s. IMPORTANT: Please just answer all questions fully and be honest — we need accurate information to ensure our time in the backcountry is as fun and safe as possible. It will be easier for us to accept you into the course if you provide detailed responses. Please avoid yes or no answers.
