Hi DOC! Big news: the Vertical Challenge is back this term!

For those of you who haven't heard, the Vertical Challenge is a fun way to promote friendly competition between members and sub-clubs. Essentially, we'll be keeping track of what trips run and, more specifically, how many vertical feet are gained or lost per trip. There will be a number of multipliers that apply to the metrics for different sports, and at the end of the term, all the points will be tallied up and a sub-club winner will be chosen!

The Challenge will begin tomorrow, Thursday April 11th, and will include any trips that run from then up until Saturday, May 11th.

If and when you lead or participate in an awesome outdoor excursion, head over to this link to enter your trip information (there's a sidebar explaining the metrics on the right):

http://www.dartmouth.edu/~doc/verticalchallenge/index.php

And that's all you have to do! Please make sure to make only one entry per trip. It should go without saying that this will only work/be fun if everyone's honest about their entries. Honor system, etc. Feel free to blitz back with any questions.

In addition to eternal glory (as if that weren't enough), there will indeed be an awesome prize, as yet to be announced, for the winning sub-club...
